The station Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy is a railway station TGV and RER, located in the French commune of Chessy (Seine-et-Marne).
The station was opened in 1992 for access to Disney parks (Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios). It bears the name of the new town of Marne-la-Vallée and a city belonging to the latter, Chessy. It is served by trains on the RER line A traveling branch A4, which is the terminus, and by taking the TGV LGV Interconnexion Est.
The RER station is owned by the RATP, while the TGV station belongs to the SNCF (building) and RFF (platforms and channels).
As part of LGV Interconnexion Est, TGV station should first be on the territory of Melun-Senart. Mentioned in the corporate record, it was subsequently withdrawn. The coverage of the amusement park has been an agreement between Disney and the French state in 1987 which provides a way to reserve the perimeter of the park. In January 1989, its realization is the subject of an agreement between SNCF and EuroDisney. The company participated in up to 38.1 million euros to finance the station, which amounted to 126.5 million euros.

A study of the SNCF had concluded that the station would be the most profitable in northern France. The project had provided 2.8 million passengers in 1996. There were only 700,000 in 1996 and 1.5 million in 2000. Its annual traffic of 2.1 million passengers in 2006, 2.3 million passengers in 2007 and 2.6 million passengers in 2008.
The train station was opened on May 29 1994and is served by TGV province-province, Eurostar and Thalys (until December 2007), enabling passengers from other countries access to Disneyland via the station. Major cities served are: Bordeaux, Marseille, Nice, Lyon, Rennes, Lille London St Pancras, Nantes, Limoges, Toulouse, Montpellier, Orleans, Grenoble, Brussels, Caen …
The client station is 55% tourism (Disneyland), and 45% regional. Before the commissioning of the TGV East, use as station TGV connection was marginal. Commissioning June 10, 2007, the TGV Est train station also serves to ensure the connections Strasbourg – Bordeaux, Strasbourg – Rennes and Strasbourg – Nantes.
From the station you can reach by train, airport Charles de Gaulle airport in less than 10 minutes. The accessibility of the airport remains regarded as mediocre, the TGV is expensive (over € 15 in 2009) and little known.
